Chapter 18: Counting factors
The puzzleFold a sheet of paper in half, then in half again, and again. After 3 folds it is 8 layers thick; after 7 folds, 128. A student writes 2³ × 2⁴ = 4⁷ for 3 folds followed by 4 more. Count the layers: is it 4⁷?
